FALL 2018 TV

FALL 2018 TV

The TV cycle is increasingly year-round these days, but there’s still an influx of new TV every fall and here we are again! So below you’ll find some links to the new crop of TV shows, the day-by-day schedule, and a calendar of premier dates, plus some additional tidbits worth noting regarding the Fall 2018 TV season.

As promised here’s those links you really care about:

New Broadcast TV Shows

And also, here’s some other things worth noting about this new TV season:

Streaming TV is going seasonal too

Broadcast isn’t the only place new TV is making its debut or return this fall, Hulu, Amazon, and Netflix all have plenty more TV for you to binge. Some sites have gone so far as to call it the “streamapocalypse”. Happy viewing!

The CW has expanded to Sunday Nights

For a hot minute back in 2008 The CW tried programming Sunday nights by way of leasing the block of time to Media Rights Capital, but it’s best we all forget about that first go-around since it went terribly. This time, The CW is actually attempting to make the night work with the fourth season of Supergirl leading off the night followed by the reboot of Charmed.

One Chicago on Wednesdays

Get prepared to spend your Wednesday nights in the Windy City! NBC is copying ABC’s Shondaland strategy and airing all three of their Chicago shows back to back to back on one night. Hey, at the very least it makes crossover events easier.

I hope you like more of the same

The trend of reboots, remakes, and continuations continues – this fall you can find Magnum P.I., Murphy Brown, Charmed, the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and Last Man Standing all back on the small screen.

Roseanne is back as The Conners

Yes, Roseanne was cancelled and yes, Roseanne Barr was fired, but the rest of the Conner clan can still be seen on ABC this fall in the new spinoff series The Conners. The show will make its debut on Tuesday October 16th at 8pm.

ABC is also bringing back TGIF programming

ABC’s Tuesday and Wednesday night comedy blocks aren’t going anywhere but with Inhumans dead and gone, Once Upon A Time concluded, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. shelved until the summer, ABC’s Friday nights are suddenly very vacant. And so TGIF returns with Fresh Off the Boat, Speechless, and the new show Child Support.

Watch Thursday Night Football on FOX

Thursday Night Football is always available on the NFL Network, but for those of us who love football but find it hard to rationalize paying for a channel when you only need it a couple of months out of the year will be happy to hear that FOX will air TNF games this season beginning in Week 4.
