How to Pick An Episode of TV to Rewatch

Netflix My List

If you’re anything like me, you spend more time on Netflix trying to figure out what episode to watch than actually watching TV. But if you’d like to take the pressure off the decision making process, check out these three sites. They can easily help you narrow down your options, or take it out of your hands completely by leaving it up to chance.

3 Easy Ways to Decide What to Watch

1. Random Number Generator / Picker

This site does exactly that, picks a random number based on a set of numbers you define. So for example, Buffy the Vampire Slayer has 144 episodes, so I can say I want a number between 1 and 144 and then hit “Get Random”. Ta da, now I have an episode to watch. In this instance, episode 73 is season four’s “Superstar”, well played Random Number Generator, well played.

2. Random Thing Picker

If numbers aren’t your jam, list out TV shows or episodes and this site will pick one for you. I dropped some Friends episode titles into the “Things to pick from…” field and the “The One with the Embryos” was chosen.

3. Graph TV

If you don’t like leaving your TV viewing choices to chance, try Graph TV. The site plots IMDB ratings for individual episodes on a graph so you can easily pick out the best episodes of the bunch. Or, if you’re feeling crazy, you can go wild and choose from the low rated outliers. I like this site for long-running procedurals like Law & Order: SVU because with literally hundreds of episodes to choose from I rarely remember episode titles let alone plot specifics.
