Here’s where you can watch:
On TV
CBS / CBS Sports
The NWSL’s partnership with CBS will continue with the 2024 season and beyond. And just like past seasons, select games will be televised across the CBS family, including the CBS Sports Network. The latter of which will once again play host to the championship match on November 23, 2024.
Scripps’-owned ION
New for this season, the NWLS has partnered with Scripps Sports, which will air Saturday night double-headers on ION.
What is ION?
ION is a pretty standard broadcast television network (you should have it with even the most basic of cable packages). But if you don’t have cable, NWSL fans can watch games live on the channel for free via a variety of free apps, like Tubi, Freevee, and more: https://iontelevision.com/find-us.
ESPN
The NWSL is also coming to the most obvious home for sports: ESPN. Select matches will air across ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN Deportes (Spanish).
Online
Paramount+
As part of the CBS family, a variety of regular season and playoff games will also be available to stream on Paramount+. Plans start at $5.99 per month or $11.99 a month with Showtime if you need a bonus reason to subscribe to yet another streamer. Also, keep your eyes peeled for any free trial offers or deals for past subscribers.
ION
As mentioned above, the ION channel can be streamed for free! Browse the list of supported video platforms.
ESPN+
All NWSL matches on ESPN platforms and on ABC will stream live on ESPN+ in English and Spanish. ESPN+ can be bundled with Hulu and / or Disney+ or simply subscribe to ESPN+ by itself for $10.99 a month. Annual plans and bundling may be a better deal in the long run.
Prime Video
New for this season, the NWSL will begin each regular-season weekend with Friday night matches on Prime Video. If you don’t already have Prime, a 30-day free trial might be available. Otherwise you can sign up month-to-month or save on an annual plan and enjoy the bonus of free 2-day shipping.
NWSL+
All remaining matches will be available for free on NWSL+, the league’s first-ever domestic direct to consumer streaming platform. Learn more about NWSL+.
How do I watch NWSL+ on my TV?
The easiest way to watch the NWSL+ is on a computer browser, but where’s the fun in that. Thankfully the NWSL+ is also available via Apple TV, Roku, and the Fire TV. (No other platforms are currently supported.) However, if you have a Roku, the trick to finding the NWSL+ app is searching for “National Women’s Soccer League” not “NWSL”.
For step-by-step instructions on getting the NWSL+ on any of the connected TV devices listed above visit: https://www.nwslsoccer.com/nwsl-plus-apps.
